Basic Spanish listening activity: La Ropa: Here is a basic listening activity for the theme of La Ropa. Included is a warm-up, the listening activity and a post-activity, where students complete a mind map activity on articles of clothing. The video is located at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_gV8_GiRyI. Everything's written in Word, so you can edit as necessary. Great for Spanish 1 or 2!
Reading Activities
Interpretive Reading for Spanish 1: La Ropa: Here are a series of basic interpretive readings for a shopping, or la ropa, unit. There is a pre-activity, or warm-up, where students work with a partner and answer a few questions. After, there are 5 readings, each with a set of questions. The readings are images (i.e. ads), so I can't leave them in the documents as they are not mine. They are available for download FOR FREE from my website: https://gramatichica.wixsite.com/laprofesoragil/la-ropa. And even if you don't purchase this activity, you are welcome to the images on that website.
You could set these readings up as a stations activity. Or perhaps you can have students work in small groups to answer the questions and then create new groups with a representative from the first groups to report the answers to each of the members of the new groups (similar to a jigsaw activity). Or you could have students complete one task in class, another for homework, a third on a study guide for an assessment, and a fourth on an assessment. There are many possibilities for these readings, so use them as you see fit. Everything's written in Word, so you can edit as necessary. Great for Spanish 1!

Other Activities
Stations Activity: La Ropa: Here's a fun activity for students learning to describe and compare clothing in Spanish. There are 6 stations. At each station, students look at a picture and describe the clothing that each person wears and compares the clothing of one person with another in the picture. Grammar in this activity includes definite articles, sentence construction with gustar, querer and preferir, and the use of comparatives with adjectives. The pictures are not currently on the document as they are not mine. However, they are on my website https://gramatichica.wixsite.com/laprofesoragil/la-ropa for free. Just scroll down to the section entitled Other Activities and find the images that go along with the Stations Activity: La Ropa. Then, you can download the images for free and insert them as instructed in the document. You are also welcome to edit the document to meet the needs of your students because this activity is written in Word. Great for Spanish 1 or 2!
